Closed Door Meeting on Post-quantum Cryptography Risk: how the sector should be pricing, underwriting and disclosing a threat that is years out but already shaping decisions.
Format: A small, peer-level roundtable, moderated and structured around several themes. his will be discussion and challenge based. Participants receive a short brief beforehand built around three challenges/claims:
- Harvest-now-decrypt-later as a live exposure: data stolen today and decrypted years later creates a long-tail claim, so which policy year, carrier and treaty owns the loss when it surfaces.
- Whether post-quantum readiness becomes the next MFA – should crypto-agility and a credible migration plan become an underwriting control now, and how do you price the insureds who lag.
- Coverage and disclosure: is quantum decryption a failure of security, a zero-day or a war-like event, and how should the sector be wording and disclosing a threat that is years out but already shaping decisions.
We’ll circulate a report afterwards to reinforce the takeaways & insights will be shared during Cyber Risk Reckoning London 2026.
